Family Fun Day in Philly [Full of Photos!]
Oh yeah. Starting it off with an alteration (literary device refresh: that’s repetition of the same sound at the beginning of words).
While in New Jersey for the holidays our family took a day-trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (aka “Philly” aka “City of Brotherly Love”) and it was a great day. Our family’s interests – aside from food which we all have in common – are varied and everyone enjoyed the city. World-class art and world-class cheesesteaks. Our choices for each: Philadelphia Museum of Art & Jim’s South Street.
I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking…
- Two mediums, three if you count the photo of the art.
- OG member of Overthinkers Anonymous
- Sister and brother (in law), future art collectors.
- Monet actually painted this bridge and waterlilies A LOT, not just the one waterlilies painting we all know. Learned that.
- *Think* this was a different version of the Monet bridge.
- Tour for families who are interested in learning from someone more knowledgeable.
- Can you Read It?
- Message to the haters.
- My dad took this one. Boys will be boys.
- Dad mtaching the modern art.
- Weapons. Not really my thing.
- Titled Whistler, which is a place people like to ski so I took a photo. Eerrie one.
- Me. 🙂
- There was a line around the building when we went.
- Sneak preview as we stand in line in the cold.
- All managed to squeeze inside and enjoy the warmth.
- Laughing at my father’s lack of photo taking shame.
- Tight quarters, better know your orders!
- Philadelphia Street Art.
- Walking off our cheesesteaks…or walking to the warmth of the car? We’ll never tell.
- Mom rocking her peacoat and Gubalini (google it, we had too)
- Pay to park. Stranger.
